French Lick Scenic locomotive 465 is a February 1959 built EMO GP-9 for Southern Pacific subsidiary Texas & New-Orleans as their 454, then to 3658, and once upgraded to GP9E in December of 1976 as 3843.

Later sold to the Hoosier Southern as their 465, and sold in 2018 to Indiana Railway Museum by Mid America Railcar Leasing at Santa Claus, IN. GP-9’s have a 16 cylinder roots blown 645 prime mover, turning an AR-1 O alternator, producing 1,750 horsepower.
