The Crossroads Railcar Services Thoroughbred
project description
The Thoroughbred open-air scenic passenger car is a hybrid cross between a freight car and a passenger car utilizing 100 ton freight car trucks, ABDX brake valve, truck mounted brake cylinders, E Couplers, constant contact side bearings, and hydraulic snubbers for a smooth ride.
The body consists of crash posts, diaphragm tubes, buffer plate, 50″ floor height, vestibule with trap doors, steps, and ADA entrances.
Electrical options include 110, 220, 208/3ph, 480, with emergency back up lighting illuminating the interior and exit steps.
The Thoroughbred is built on our custom patented frame, which allows our clients to design a floor plan that best suits their needs.
