Moonlight Dome was built in 1950 for the Cheseapeake and Ohio Railway, part of a three-dome order including the cars Sunlight and Starlight. 

The cars were the first built with three private cabins beneath the dome, and proved to be incredibly popular.

Crossroads did the restoration and refurbishment work on Moonlight Dome, giving the car an extensive interior makeover.
